An original Three.js street racer with four licensed artist cars, closed night circuits, a simcade handling model, a garage with upgrades and paint, and an optional CRT picture.
The brief
Capture the feel of night street racing from that console era in a browser tab, without borrowing another game's branding, map data or music.
How it works
Closed night circuits with physical opponents, grip and drift setups, nitrous and independent garage builds. Menus support keyboard navigation, and the picture options include a PS2 + CRT preset.
Key decisions
Every car is a credited, licensed artist model rather than an unlicensed rip. Races target 60 fps and menus 30 fps. Testing is honest about scope: desktop keyboard is the only verified input.
The result
Version 0.11.0 is playable on itch.io, with a source download that includes the original artist assets, conversion tools and licences.
In practice
A 0.12 rebuild of all three courses and their surroundings (Rainmarket Loop, Breakwater Run and Blackpine Pass) exists locally and passes its automated route tests; it is not published yet.
